The Whisperers
The 7+1 whisperers were the 8 trees that participated at Unknown. Each one of them represented the 7 Grandfathers/Grandmothers which for the Ojibwe people represent 7 virtues or a set of teachings on human conduct towards oneself and others. These are: Humility, Bravery, Respect, Love, Honesty, Truth, and Wisdom.
The presence and participation of the extra whisperer (the +1 tree) was to honor all the souls that has been "missing in action".
